The Mission of Bold Spring Baptist Church is to be a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, seeking the salvation of others as led by and through the power of the Holy Spirit, developing toward full Christian maturity through exalting the Savior in worship, equipping the saints in discipleship, evangelizing the sinner through witness, and elevating society through missions and the ministry of reconciliation. (II Corinthians 5:18-19)
CHURCH AFFILIATION STATEMENT
The Bold Spring Missionary Baptist Church was established in 1893 and has had a glorious history. It has remained a church within the Baptist denominational structure throughout the years. Currently and at the time of this writing, the church is 125 years in existence without a membership slip or division recorded. Throughout the years, the Bold Spring Baptist Church has been affiliated with the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., the General Baptist Missionary Convention of Texas and the Union Baptist District Association. The church has represented in them all. However, in most recent years, the church has not been aligned on the district level; divesting their ties with the Union Baptist District Association. Their current pastor is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Therefore, the church will seek full affiliation and membership with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Waco Baptist Association.
The vision of the Bold Spring Baptist Church is to be a "soul winning" church whose primary aim is to grow! We aim to reach any human. Race or ethnic background and church orientation is not out of our scope of outreach. We envision a multicultural ministry! We envision equipping our members with passion and a message to win for Christ. The aim includes fostering multiple programs and ministries that will help and heal personal lives, family structures and relationships. We will seek to impact our area of ministry through authentic and attractive worship creations. We will provide needed social action roles for our own community when the need and God's endorsement is clear. Our targeted groups are the young adults and mid adults, who bear the concerns of their children, parents and grandparents. Family and significant relationships are important to our church. The ministry aim is to strengthen our church and be a blessing to society while the kingdom continues to expand.
A Virtually New and Young Ministry
Small; but growing congregation. Once a friends and family church. Most
recently we have began to expand. Unity has been our theme, but currently, we are discovering who we are in Christ Jesus. We are also discovering the gifts of the Holy Spirit and Ministry Assignments to use and grow to the Glory of God. We are Christians and living the Kingdom Life. ICor.12: 4-31
We have a great location.
Come:"discover your potential and possibilities with us."

Count it all joy... James cautions us not to discard experiences that may cause us heartache and stress, for even they should be counted "joy." I do not understand this value system for experiences that I would prefer never to have encountered. I do not know how to "count it all joy." I do know that I have confidence in the instructions found in the Word of God. I am enrolled in His course of study, and I am "Learning To Count." also go to http://haliburtonlearningtocount.blogspot.com/

About Francene Haliburton-Francis
Native Wacoan, Francene Haliburton-Francis has created a literary work that blends prose and poetry to tell one woman's story about how she views the influence of the evolution of race in her life's journey. As issues of faith, family and race relations increasingly impact the political climate in the United States, the book will prove to be a great resource among book study groups that are eager to find common ground.
The Place: Lennox Street in Waco, Texas
Haliburton Home Squared is centered around a Nairobi tradition where a person refers to his / her childhood home as home squared. Dr. Francis believes that her perceptions of the experiences in her African American home shares insight into race relations during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and 1970s different than those perceptions of her white peers. On the contrary, Dr. Francis believes that her perspectives of experiencing the highs and lows of family life and the development of her Christian faith is comparable with the perspectives of her white peers. She appreciates the safe haven of her home - the place of her development.
From her place of origin to our present and future generations!
Educated in, first segregated and later integrated, Waco public schools, Dr. Francis retired from the Waco Independent School District after serving 34 years as a teacher and administrator. She attempts to inspire young people whose stories are similar to her own. She encourages them to hope for and to work now towards a brighter future in their adult lives, Better is possible.
The book, 728 Lenox: Haliburton Home Squared, can be purchased at any bookstore using the information as follows: ISBN 978-64258-770-8 (paperback), ISBN 978-1-64258-780-7 (hardcover) and ISBN 978-1-64258-771-5 (digital).
